Pack the House Cinci

The Ohio Task Force on Community-Police Relations (OTFCPR) will be holding the next public meeting on March 9th at the University of Cincinnati.

The last meeting that was held at Central State University uncovered some deeply troubling issues around the spectrum and goals of the Task Force.
The Ohio Student Association attended and prepared questions, cited stories of police violence, and provided local policy recommendations created by our team and the entire Black Lives Matter community across the nation. However, the Task Force was not supportive of our comments. When we asked about the problematic concerns in “John Crawford’s Law”, the lack of youth representation on the Task Force, and why black women, trans and queer were not included in the conversation, the Task Force had inadequate answers or completely ignored our voices.

We must show the Ohio Task Force on Community-Police Relations that we have power and that our voices matter. To confront power, we must show up in numbers.

The Ohio Student Association Cincinnati Chapter is leading the charge to #PackTheHouseUC and show the Task Force that youth in Ohio cannot be silenced.
